Nicole and Joe met in graduate school where the two were both studying to become pharmacists at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. They started dating in 2012, and when Joe proposed in 2014, the two began planning their April 2016 wedding at Ceresville Mansion. Nicole was truly the most organized bride; she created a powerpoint of her colors and themes, and she shared all of her favorite ideas on Pinterest. It has been so fun seeing Nicole and Joe’s plans come together, and Nicole and her bridesmaids had such a good time planning this special celebration!
And Nicole and Joe have a lot to celebrate this year; just weeks after their wedding, these two moved into their very first home, last May, they were graduating pharmacy school, and they both landed their dream pharmacy jobs in the past year!
I adore all of my couples, but this wedding was so special because I know Nicole and Joe so well also – these two are two of my sister, Kelsey’s, absolute best friends! It was so fun photographing this wedding because of how much Nicole and Joe mean to me, and it was awesome having my sister in the wedding as a bridesmaid and knowing SO many of the wedding guests! Kelsey is my second shooter at many of my weddings, so it was really cool having her on the other side of the camera with the wedding party! Maybe I am partial because I knew so many of them, but I have to say – this was truly such a kind, fun, loving, and genuinely joyful group of people; Nicole and Joe have some incredible friends! It was such a fun reception, and people had so much fun celebrating Nicole and Joe’s wedding!
Ceresville Mansion in Frederick, Maryland was also a STUNNING backdrop to their wedding; the cherry blossoms were blooming and those plus the beautiful architecture of the mansion made for such incredible photos! Justin, my second shooter (and husband!), and I loved this venue, and it was so fun shooting here because we attended our very first wedding as a couple in 2007 together at this venue too! It was a very, very windy day, but Nicole, Joe, and their wedding party didn’t let that stop them from having a great time and doing lots of photos outdoors J And it was so worth it! I can’t get enough of Nicole and Joe’s stunning portraits!!
