Tina and Jacob were married in October on an absolutely gorgeous fall day. While the reception was at Rock Creek Mansion in Bethesda, Maryland, these two started their day at Saint Gregory’s of Nyssa Byzantine Church, where they shared a romantic first look. Saint Gregory’s is Jacob’s family church, and his parents were married there! It was so special that these two were married in a place that was so important to Jacob and his family. Saint Gregory’s also made a beautiful backdrop for Tina and Jacob’s portraits together – and these two are SO natural in front of the camera! Just wait until you see their portraits!! Tina wore her mother’s beautiful wedding veil, which was such a special touch, and a pair of sparkly flats that were just stunning. On top of that, Tina’s bouquet from Park Florist was INCREDIBLE!! After some time together during portraits, it was time for Tina and Jacob to head in for their wedding ceremony, which was a traditional Byzantine Catholic ceremony.
After the wedding ceremony, everyone headed to the stunning Rock Creek Mansion in Bethesda, Maryland, for cocktail hour. The mansion was so beautiful – Tina and Jacob had an incredible photo booth with a gorgeous floral wreath (it was amazing!), plus beautiful lilac and white flowers on every table. The reception was STUNNING! And these two made it so personal to the two of them as well. Each table was named after a different constellation (and every bridesmaid wore a necklace with a different constellation as well!) and the couple had a fun guestbook where guests could include a photo of themselves with a memory. Tina and Jacob also had lots of incredible Korean desserts (I have to admit, I tried the rice cake… and then a few more! They were so delicious!). Later in the reception, these two changed into traditional Korean wedding clothing and celebrated their Korean wedding ceremony, narrated by Tina’s (hilarious!) uncle. What a fun ceremony! Tina and Jacob had such a great time celebrating with their parents, and then after the ceremony, everyone hit the dance floor.
While Tina and Jacob’s wedding was an absolutely beautiful day, it was VERY windy (and a bit chilly too!). Luckily Tina had custom-embroidered matching jackets made for her and her bridesmaids! It was SO nice that they all had a way to stay warm (and look adorable doing so!). These two made their wedding unique to who they are in so many ways, and it is clear that they had a great time celebrating their marriage – and their guests had a blast too!
Tina and Jacob, Kelsey and I have loved getting to know you two and we absolutely loved sharing your wedding day with you both! Congratulations, Tina and Jacob!!
