Nancy and Chris were married September 28 on beautiful and historic Main Street in Ellicottt City, Maryland. Little did we know, there was another big event taking place that very day on Main Street – a live music festival – and it drew a huge crowd! Main Street was bumper-to-bumper with traffic (and pedestrians), and the parking lots and alleys were filled with performers. But even though Ellicott City was busy, we had perfect weather and lots of sweet well-wishers to congratulate the couple. Nancy and Chris were nervous that their guests would not be able to find parking, but luckily everything worked out perfectly, and everyone arrived for the ceremony.
Nancy and Chris have been together for ten years, and it was clear that the two are completely in sync. They were so funny; when we were doing portraits by the train tracks, they spotted a Halloween store, and both rushed over to get goofy, faux-frightened pictures. Nancy and Chris wanted a smaller wedding, and Ellicott City Weddings and Events was the perfect size. Following the ceremony and formal portraits, the guests crossed Main Street and went to a private room on the third floor of Portalli’s for dinner and cake. It was the perfect intimate wedding, and it was wonderful to celebrate here in beautiful Ellicott City. Now, Nancy and Chris are heading off for an incredible honeymoon. Enjoy a few highlights from their beautiful day!
Nancy and Chris, you two are SO cute!!
Nancy wanted to go to “the old stone wall” and she was so right – this is perfect!
This is one of my favorites!
I love the amazing backdrops around Main Street in Ellicott City!
Marylanders are the best; everyone wanted to stop and congratulate the bride and groom and they walked down Main Street!
This spot was definitely worth the walk!
Operation Paws for Homes was on Main Street with this adorable kissing booth, so we just had to stop and get a kissing shot! I love this so much! Thanks Operation Paws for Homes!
We stopped outside of the Forget Me Not Factory to get a few pictures of the amazing bubbles.
Time for the ceremony!
The bride and groom with all of their guests!
Nancy’s mother decorated the venue (and arranged the flowers – she is very talented!).
Historic Main Street in Ellicott City. I love this view of the historic buildings!
Beautiful. Nancy’s sister, Cathleen, set up the lovely decorations at Portalli’s, which is just across the street from Ellicott City Weddings and Events. After portraits, guests crossed the street and continued the celebration in a private room on the third floor of Portalli’s.
I love their cake! The birds are so adorable – and so are those cake toppers!
Congratulations, Nancy and Chris!! I am so happy for the two of you!
