I am SO excited to share Kathy and Jeremiah’s INCREDIBLE Washington DC engagement session! Kathy suggested using the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC and the sculpture garden across the street as the backdrop for their session – and what an awesome idea that was. We had SO much to work with! Plus, just wait until you see the tunnel of lights that we were all so excited for :) The museum was beautiful and the museum staff were all so friendly and helpful.
Kathy and Jeremiah met playing bocce ball in a recreational team, so I was so excited when Jeremiah mentioned that he had their bocce ball set in the car (just wait until you see the picture of Kathy’s AMAZING rose gold diamond engagement ring with the bocce ball!). I had to admit to them that I actually had no idea how bocce ball was played, so they taught me (they both joked that it was the perfect minimal-effort sport!). The two have such big hearts and beautiful smiles to match, and it was so much fun spending the morning with them. They are just so kind, genuine, and caring.
Not only did these two bring so much joy to their session, but they are such creative people – and this backdrop of creativity at the museum was just perfect for them! Kathy and Jeremiah wore coordinating looks for the second half of their session; Kathy handmade her gorgeous dress using Rifle Paper Co. fabric. It is BEAUTIFUL! I am so in awe of her sewing skills (check her work out on Instagram – she is incredibly talented!).
Kathy and Jeremiah are getting married next month and I can’t wait to be part of their special day. On top of planning a wedding, they also just bought their first home together! 2017 is a big year for these two, and I am so happy for them! Enjoy some favorites from their stunning engagement session!
Kathy’s ring is AMAZING!! Jeremiah has such great taste!
Love these!!
Kathy sewed her beautiful Rifle Paper Co. dress and Jeremiah’s matching tie. She is so talented!
The pink marble of the National Gallery of Art was such a beautiful backdrop.
These two met playing bocce ball, so it was only fitting that they broke out the bocce balls during their engagement session!
Another favorite!
The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden has this beautiful Philadelphia-Love-Sign-esque “AMOR” sculpture – so fun!
The water movement in this fountain continually changes – it is a moving work of art, and it made for such a beautiful backdrop in our portraits!
They are so cute!! I love the way Jeremiah smiles at Kathy! :)
So beautiful, Kathy!
I love this one!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!!

Congratulations, Kathy and Jeremiah! I can’t wait to celebrate with you two at the Belvedere this fall!
