Amanda and Bashar celebrated their marriage last weekend on August 20 at the beautiful Billingsley House in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
I’ve loved getting to know Amanda and Bashar leading up to their wedding; they are such a fun-loving couple and these two both have such good hearts. They are so kind, thoughtful, and invested in making the world a better place. (And they have two of the most adorable cats too!). On their wedding day, Amanda and Bashar were so relaxed and easy-going; these two were so thrilled to be celebrating their marriage to each other – and it showed! During their portrait session, they had so much fun laughing together, smiling, and kissing – and their portraits show that true love SO well! I am so excited to share these because these two are gorgeous and their love is so apparent! Not only were Amanda and Bashar so excited to finally be husband and wife, but their friends and family were so happy for them! The day before their wedding, Amanda had friends over for a fun henna party, and on the day of, their friends and family were just so excited to see them and congratulate them. Everyone – friends and family – were just so loving and kind. It was such a joy to meet Amanda and Bashar’s family and friends.
In addition to making this such a fun celebration for others, these two made this day special to them. Amanda made all of the beautiful boutonnieres, as well as her bouquet and Aly’s bouquet (seriously – that’s not easy! I was so impressed!). At their reception, Amanda and Bashar served delicious middle Eastern food, and even had a gluten-free wedding cake! Their wedding DJ was even a family member! Unfortunately, not all of Bashar’s family members were not able to be there, but his brother was able to attend – and he was so happy for Amanda and Bashar!
While their wedding day was pretty warm – definitely a traditional August day in Maryland! – the light was PERFECT! These two had such a beautiful day! We got so many gorgeous portraits of Amanda and Bashar – plus so many lovely family portraits and fun portraits with friends. It was such a wonderful wedding day, and Kelsey, Justin (of Last Avalon Films), and I were so honored to celebrate and capture Amanda and Bashar’s beautiful wedding.
