Yay!! It is time for the Best of Weddings post!!
I ADORE my couples, so this one is so hard for me to put together! I literally went through three rounds of sorting to narrow down the pictures so that this wasn’t an 400-photo blog post! (And it is still pretty long…).
Our internet was down for a few days, so I was also trying to upload this using my phone as a hotspot – and it wouldn’t get any further than 81 photos in before timing out. So I think that tells me that this is still too long! Haha!
I just have way too many favorites – and not just because my couples are stunning – which they are! So many of these pictures remind me of the fun moments – smiling while running through the rain with umbrellas, a couple laughing together when they call each other “husband” or “wife” for the first time (I love this moment!), racing to catch the setting sun together, or sneaking kisses and smiles. It’s parents’ watching their married daughter have her first dance, a groom watching his bride walk down the aisle with tears in his eyes, or an entire wedding party surprising the crowd by revealing that their dress shirts are actually covered in colorful cats! Haha! Its a baseball game during the reception (seriously! This was so fun!), a bride and groom singing to and performing for their guests, a series of beautiful performances and plays put on by the brides and their wedding party, and a sweet dog greeting guests at the cocktail hour! It’s not one but TWO flash mob dances during the reception (and a surprise musical performance!), a sing-off between the tables at a reception and a dance-off at another reception, and the entire wedding party dancing down the aisle! It’s been a fun year!!
I got to photograph weddings in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia, and best of all, I got to work with the most INCREDIBLE couples!! I say this to my family and friends all the time, and I really think it is true: I have the SWEETEST couples. I am so, so lucky to have met these amazing couples, and there is nothing more special than sharing their wedding day with them!! I am so fortunate! To my 2018 wedding couples – you all are amazing!! Each and every wedding was so unique and beautiful. I grow to love my couples so, so much leading up to their wedding day, and Kelsey, Justin, and I are so invested in making their day special, happy, and beautiful. I love so many moments about each wedding day – the anticipation leading up to the reception, the fun moments with the wedding party, the special looks and kisses shared between the wedding couple, the sweet words shared during the ceremony, and then the speeches. When we get to stand at the edge of the dance floor and listen to the speeches from our couples closest friends and family I can’t stop smiling – because I feel like my couples are so, so special and I love hearing all the great things their friends and family have to say about them. I just love these moments! 2018 was an awesome year! Thank you to all of my amazing wedding couples for making it so special!! I truly have the absolute best wedding couples!!
