Siya + Matt, a Celebrations at the Bay Wedding

I am so happy to share Siya and Matthew’s wedding today!!

Siya and Matt were married on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena, Maryland. And then on Sunday, these two celebrated again with family and friends at the Marriott Hotel at BWI with an Indian wedding ceremony! What an amazing weekend of celebrations!!

Siya and Matt first met more than three years ago before Siya began nursing school when both were out for a night with friends. During their relationship together, Siya and Matt have adopted two adorable dogs. These two love their sweet dogs, Gus and Arlo, so much (and Siya’s family’s dog, Marley, too!). These two have been long-distance for part of their relationship because Matthew has been deployed twice and now they are so excited to start their life together in Georgia soon! And now these Siya and Matt are married!!

Siya and Matt began the day by getting ready at Marriott Hotel at BWI.

Siya had so many beautiful details – including her gorgeous Christian Louboutins!! Siya and Matt both had beautiful coordinating Christian Louboutin shoes with the classic red bottoms. It was so cool that they had matching shoes! They were gorgeous!!

Siya’s mom showed Kelsey and me all of the beautiful details on Siya’s beaded dress and her jewelry for the ceremony on Sunday. There are so many lovely detail photos!! Siya’s beautiful red veil matched her Louboutins, bangles, and red rose bouquet so well, and it was so gorgeous in photos.

After Siya put on her beautiful wedding gown, she had a reveal for her cousins and friend. It was so sweet!

Next we all headed to Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena for Siya and Matt’s first look! These two had their first look outside of the gazebo and it was so beautiful. I always love this special moment because it gives the bride and groom a few minutes all to themselves to take in this exciting day ahead. After Siya and Matt’s first look, we took photos along the water. I have so many favorites – including a beautiful one of these two on the steps to the water!

And then it was time for their wedding ceremony! Siya and Matt’s wedding was officiated by Siya’s cousin, Pratik. It is so special when someone close to the couple officiates their ceremony. During the ceremony, the couple shared a sand ceremony, combining two colors of sand to signify the joining of their lives together. Saturday was such a beautiful day with perfect weather. We were so lucky that it was a little cloudy, too, because that makes for the best photos by the water! It was so nice to have an outdoor wedding ceremony.

After cocktail hour along the water, it was reception time! Siya and Matt’s wedding was catered by the same Indian restaurant that these two went to on their first date, Chutney in Columbia, MD! Isn’t that so incredible? It was such a special touch – and the food was SO good! Kelsey and I love Indian food and this was such a good meal. And it was clear that the guests loved it just as much!

Siya and Matt gave a welcome and thank you speech, and Matt’s dad, Mark, gave a speech in honor of Siya and Matt that was so kind and thoughtful. Then Siya’s brother, Shiv, and two cousins gave an adorable and well-coordinated speech together and Matt’s boss and friend, Richard, gave a touching speech. Finally, Siya’s uncle and two of her cousins gave speeches as well, and then it was time to party!! And it was such a fun party! The DJ, Bhavin, a family friend, played such a great variety of music and everyone was on the dance floor late into the night.

Siya and Matt’s families are so kind and welcoming and it was amazing to see two cultures come together and so happily embrace one another as a new family. Everyone was so happy to join together as family. It was so sweet and truly wonderful to see. Siya and Matt have great families and friends and it is clear that these two are so, so loved.

Now Siya and Matt are moving to beautiful and warm Georgia where they recently purchased their first home together – with a backyard for their dogs!!

Congratulations, Siya and Matt!! We are so happy for you two and so excited for your new journey together!! You two are two of the kindest people and it is clear that you love each other so, so much. It was such an honor to celebrate with you!! Congratulations!! Enjoy some favorites from your beautiful wedding day!!
