Congratulations, Julie and Chris!! I am so excited to share Julie and Chris’ beautiful wedding today. Julie and Chris were married on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Kemptown Park in Monrovia, Maryland.
Julie and Chris met a few years ago at work, where they are both elementary school teachers. They got engaged one year ago, and now, they are married!!
Julie begin the wedding day by getting ready with her boys, mother, sister, and sister-in-law at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Frederick, Maryland. Later that morning, Chris and the boys got ready in a separate part of the suite. Julie and Chris included lots of thoughtful and special details, like Julie’s something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue charm pin that her mom made for her. Chris’ ring was also so special (and blue!). It is made from stones and even glows in the dark at night. It is so cool!
The boys helped Julie and Chris pick out gifts that they gave each other (a Hershey’s kiss necklace and a bride and groom lego set! So cute!), and Julie and Chris exchanged thoughtful and sweet cards with each other. They also took a moment to hold hands – without seeing each other – before their ceremony. The boys were so excited and jumped in too; they didn’t want to miss an opportunity to hold hands! :)
After hair and makeup was finished, it was wedding dress time! Julie’s gorgeous wedding gown had a halter top with a long chiffon and tulle shirt. It was so beautiful! Once everyone was ready, we all headed over to Kemptown Park in Monrovia, Maryland for Julie and Chris’ wedding ceremony!
Julie’s sons, Marick and Colton, walked down the aisle first, and each ring bearer held a ring bear! It was so cute! Julie came down the aisle and it was so sweet to see Chris’ face light up as soon as he saw her.
Julie and Chris were married under a beautiful walnut tree on a perfect October day. It was SO nice and the perfect temperature and it was so sweet that their wedding was officiated by someone they knew, too. Marick and Colton are so important to Julie and Chris, and they were included in the entire ceremony. They got to hold Julie and Chris’ hands and, at the end of the ceremony, they walked down the aisle first.
After their ceremony, we took family pictures and then photos of Julie and Chris. I LOVE their pictures so much!! Their ceremony spot was so pretty and such a perfect backdrop. And these two are so photogenic! Their joy over being married to one another was so evident and it came through in all of their photos.
After that it was time to party! Following their entrance to the reception, Julie and Chris shared personal vows for each other. They were so sweet and thoughtful and it is so clear how much these two love and value one another. After dinner, Julie and Chris had their first dance, followed by parent dances, and then everyone joined the dance floor! It was such a fun evening and there was so much happiness everywhere. All of the kids got along so well and it was so sweet to see them dancing and playing, and the families had so much fun together. Kelsey turned to me at one point during the reception and said, “when I get married, I want my wedding to be exactly like this.” And I can see why! It just felt so joyful. It was truly a perfect day and it was all about family.
Julie and Chris had a beautiful cake cutting – but half an hour later, Julie sneak attacked Chris with a handful of cake! Everything about the reception was fun and there was so much happiness. As the evening drew to a close, Julie, Chris, and the boys came outside with us for some quick photos on a trail and a bridge.
It was incredible to see the love that Julie and Chris have for each other and how their families have become one family together. Everyone was so happy and welcoming to each other. It was such a great day!
Julie and Chris, we are so, so happy for you two – and for your beautiful family! Your wedding day was PERFECT and we have so many favorite photos. (SO many favorites!!). Enjoy some highlights from your best day, Julie and Chris!! Congratulations on your marriage!
YAY!! Married!
Congratulations, Julie and Chris!
