Amanda and Jared were married at beautiful Historic Oakland Manor in Columbia, MD in November, and we were SO lucky that to have so many beautiful autumn leaves!! Most of the trees in Howard County had already lost their leaves, but the trees around Oakland Manor were still covered in vibrant, beautiful leaves – and those yellow leaves perfectly complimented Amanda and Jared’s color scheme. They could not have had better timing!
Amanda and Jared have been together for a few years, and they were both SO excited to celebrate their love for one another. These two complimented each other so well. Even their families seemed like a perfect match – and Amanda and Jared chose to have their guests sit wherever they chose during the ceremony and reception, further solidifying the connection between the families of the newly married couple. When Amanda and I first met, I already felt like I knew her (and as it turned out, I did know a few of Jared’s relatives!). Amanda is just so down to earth and sweet. I also could not wait to meet her daughter, Brooke!! Brooke was so adorable at the wedding; she carried her bouquet so well, smiled beautifully for her pictures (with the promise of popsicles as her reward!), and walked down the aisle like a pro :) She was the cutest thing!
Amanda and Jared’s wedding day was a beautiful, sunny day, but it turned out to be super chilly and windy, so the ceremony was moved inside the mansion – which was just as lovely! Luckily the tent behind Oakland Manor, where Amanda and Jared had their reception, was heated, and it was so gorgeous! Amanda’s rustic fall theme was absolutely beautiful (there was even a monogrammed pumpkin!!) and Oakland Manor was the perfect backdrop for a fall wedding.
I loved Amanda’s theme; she had her bridesmaids wear mismatched black dresses with cowgirl boots, and Amanda wore cowgirl boots under her dress! The groomsmen and bridesmaids were so much fun; even though it was cold, we got some quick wedding party pictures together – and this group made it even more fun! It was a fun wedding in general though; there was so much energy during the reception, and almost everyone was on the dance floor – it was so much fun! There were so many good dancers, and everyone was having a great time. I don’t think anyone wanted the night to end! I was so lucky to be assisted by Kate Jones of Pearly Kate Photography for Amanda and Jared’s wedding; her love of pearls and cowboy boots perfectly matched Amanda’s theme! Enjoy some of my favorites from Amanda and Jared’s beautiful wedding day!
I love this of Amanda and her mom!
How absolutely adorable is Brooke?
Jared and Amanda’s first look! He was so surprised!!
It was totally worth braving the cold weather for these beautiful shots!! (Trust me… it was REALLY cold and windy – they were such good sports!).
I LOVE this!! How did we get so lucky to have such beautiful, vibrant fall leaves in November?
I love the black bridesmaid dresses with the sunflowers so much; this is so cute!!
All eight of them nailed this one!!
I love this!!
Can you tell they had a fun wedding party? :)
So beautiful, Amanda!! (Don’t you love that she wore cowgirl boots with her wedding gown?)
I love what Kate captured!!
Oh my goodness, Brooke!! Kate and I were totally in love with her. She is such a character!
I love this sweet moment right before the ceremony :)
Congratulations, Amanda and Jared!!
