I am so excited to share this beautiful dog portrait session with Saoirse the Dalmatian because it was truly beyond STUNNING!! I was so lucky; we had just the most incredible light, the most beautiful blooming flowering tree, and most importantly, the most well behaved and STUNNING dog, Saoirse! Isn’t Saoirse amazing?!
It was so wonderful meeting Christy, Saoirse’s person and a wonderful local veterinarian, near my parents’ home in Howard County a few weeks ago. Christy and Saoirse work so well together; Saorise is SO well trained and such a kind, beautiful Dalmatian. Christy is so sweet, and she knew EXACTLY how to get Saoirse to focus… and the secret is VERY surprising! Christy brought Chick-fil-a french fries, which are Saoirse’s absolute favorite treat! My sister, Kelsey, started off holding less exciting treats for Saoirse, and then when she upgraded to the french fries, Saoirse was SO fixated on the french fries!! It was so funny! I don’t know if I have ever had Chick-fil-a french fries, but judging by how much Saoirse liked them, I think I need to get some for my pup, Cara, and I to share! Something else I learned about Saoirse was that her unique eyes are actually more common in Dalmatians! I never knew that Dalmatians tend to carry a trait for blue eyes, or, like Saoirse has, two color eyes, or heterochromia. And Saoirse’s eyes are so gorgeous!! My dog, Cara, also has two colored eyes, and I just think they are so cool! :)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE photographing dogs, and this session was SO much fun!! It was so wonderful getting to know both Christy and Saoirse, and I am so excited to share some of my favorites!!
