Stephanie and Darling have had a whirlwind past year filled with so many wonderful moments! These two moved to Maryland from Las Vegas for new jobs, bought their first place, got married just a few months later, and just recently adopted their first dog (his name is Lucky and he is the cutest!). Isn’t that incredible? I am also so impressed that they planned their wedding in such a short period of time in a completely new state! Stephanie and Darling’s family and friends flew to Maryland to celebrate with them at the Owen Brown Community Center, and after the ceremony and portraits, everyone went back to Stephanie and Darling’s new home for a fun gathering.
Stephanie and Darling are such a thoughtful pair; it was clear from the speeches by their maid of honor and best man that these two are incredibly loved, and their parents and grandparents were so proud and happy for them. They even gifted Justin and I a super sweet date night gift after their big day (so fun! We had a wine and movie night!). Seeing so many people travel from so far to celebrate with these two was truly heart warming, and the day went off without a hitch. Stephanie was even able to have her grandfather officiate the wedding ceremony, which was so sweet and special! Stephanie’s aunt and uncle gifted them their beautiful wedding cake (from the delicious Touche Touchet right in Columbia!) and friends helped decorate the wedding space.
I always friend my couples on Facebook so we can get to know each other, and it has been so fun getting to know these two before and after their wedding! I love hearing about Stephanie and Darling’s experiences getting to know Howard County and becoming Marylanders :) Unfortunately for these two, this winter turned out to be the worst in a while here in Maryland; we got clobbered with tons of snow (feet!), so it was a VERY big change from Las Vegas! On Stephanie and Darling’s wedding day, it was surprisingly warm for November, but these two were still accustomed to West Coast weather and were so chilly during portraits! I’m sure after this winter they are both enjoying the warmer nearly-summer weather we have now :)
