Alyssa + Zach – a Glamorous College Park New Year’s Eve Wedding

I LOVED photographing Alyssa and Zach’s wedding last New Year’s Eve!! Alyssa and I went to high school together (yay River Hill!) and when we first met (right at her parents’ house!) we learned that we both have (wild!) Jack Russells named Cooper, both of our moms collect Fiestaware dishes, and we both went to College Park! Alyssa is a teacher, so the school year gets very busy for her, but thankfully we were able to find some time last fall for Alyssa and Zach’s engagement session (and it was AWESOME – check out some favorites here!).

Kelsey, my second shooter, and I were so excited for Alyssa and Zach’s New Year’s Eve wedding!!  Alyssa and Zach met right in Columbia, MD at Pub Dog, and on their anniversary, Zach proposed to Alyssa in that very same spot! Alyssa graduated from the University of Maryland College Park, so these two chose to celebrate their wedding on the College Park campus at the College Park Marriott. On New Year’s Eve, Alyssa and Zach pledged their commitment to one another in front of nearly 200 family and friends, and then celebrated late into the night. In the minute before midnight, the band, Hero Entertainment, counted down, and at midnight, balloons dropped from the ceiling in celebration of the new year!  It was AWESOME!! Alyssa and Zach’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of their marriage and a great New Year’s Eve party!

Alyssa and Zach, I loved getting to know you two, your family, and your friends, and photographing your wedding was so much fun!  Happy anniversary!!
