Ashley + Sam, a Fall Howard County Conservancy Engagement

I am SO excited to share Ashley and Sam’s GORGEOUS engagement session!! Ashley and Sam grew up just minutes from each other, went to neighboring high schools, and even had mutual friends, but these two met as coworkers not long after graduating from college. And now, they are planning their beautiful fall wedding for next year!

I’ve been so excited to meet Ashley and Sam; we first talked back in June, and we’ve been planning Ashley and Sam’s fall engagement session for the past few months. Unfortunately, the date we originally planned to shoot ended up being rainy and cold, so we rescheduled to last weekend. We talked about rescheduling again because it was SO COLD, but Ashley and Sam decided they wanted to brave the cold weather… and it was SO worth it!! Just wait until you see their engagement session; it is SO SPECTACULAR!! Not only are these two such a beautiful couple, but they brought a vintage tandem bicycle to their engagement session. Yay!! Ashley and Sam bought their tandem bike over the summer in Ocean City, repaired it and replaced the tires, and then got to explore the Howard County Conservancy on a bike made for two. It was so perfect for their session. Just wait until you see these portraits!

In preparation for their session, Ashley and Sam went to the Howard County Conservancy and planned out the spots they loved the most for portraits, and I got to see some new areas I’ve never even explored! And I seriously have to give Ashley and Sam so much credit for staying so positive, sweet, and optimistic through this very cold weather; the morning started at 21 degrees (seriously!) and ended in the mid-30’s, but you would never guess it was so chilly by looking at their photos. And even though the forecast called for clouds all day, we got some beautiful golden sunlight midway through their engagement session.

Seriously an all-time favorite!! These two were rolling their bike on our long trek to the perfect spot, and all of a sudden I saw this spot and we just had to stop. It was SO perfect! Ashley made sure to arrange the blankets in the basket in a cute way too :)
