Ok, my family thought I was crazy when I photographed Bradley in a strawberry and milk bath this summer. So they really thought I had lost it when I said I was going to put him in a giant cup of hot cocoa! Haha! But these turned out SO cute.
Here are a few photos of Bradley in his hot cocoa. I’ll share the steps after the photos!
What you will need for a baby hot cocoa photo:
I picked up a $7 flowerpot from Walmart (store pickup!). I spray painted this white with two coats of white Rustoleum spray paint. I let it dry for 24 hours, and then it was hot cocoa time. I filled the flowerpot with warm water and then added one packet of powdered milk and half of a tub of chocolate powdered Nesquick. I stirred it up and then it was time for Bradley to take a chocolate bath. My husband stood right beside him the entire time in case Bradley moved. As soon as he was in, I added an entire bag of Campfire Giant Roasters marshmallows. (I think I would add less next time!). I took the photos fast because I was a little nervous about having Bradley in there. A few minutes later, we took him out and he got to have a fun real bath to clean up.
For the handle, I grabbed five different white mugs out of my coffee cup cabinet and photographed those from different angles. I Photoshopped the handles onto two of the photos above. Next time, I would either cut out a handle from cardboard and spray paint it to match or buy a giant #2 number from a craft store and paint that to match. But it turned out great and I love these fun and festive photos :)
