Bridget and Brian, a Maryland Golf and Country Club Wedding

I am so happy to share Bridget and Brian’s gorgeous wedding today!

Bridget and Brian were married on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at St Patrick Catholic Church in Havre de Grace. They celebrated with family and friends at a reception at the Maryland Golf and Country Club following the ceremony.

Bridget and Brian met a few years ago in Baltimore soon after Bridget moved here from Manhattan. On May 21, 2021, Brian proposed, and now, exactly one year to the day from their engagement, Bridget and Brian are married!

Bridget and Brian began the day preparing in separate areas at the Homewood Suites in Bel Air. Prior to their ceremony, Bridget and Brian traveled separately to Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Havre de Grace, and then they shared a special first look outside of the church. It was such a sweet moment!

And then it was wedding ceremony time! Bridget and Brian chose the Saint Patrick Catholic Church because of the stained glass windows memorializing Saint Bridget. Father Francis Ouma led a beautiful ceremony (and told some great jokes, too). And then Bridget and Brian were married!! After the recessional, Bridget and Brian greeted each of their guests in the receiving line, and then we drove to the Concord Point Lighthouse at Concord Park in Havre de Grace for portraits!

Bridget and Brian chose a blue and white color palette with a toile pattern. Bridget’s bridesmaids chose their own blue or blue and white patterned dress for the wedding and the result was GORGEOUS! Everything coordinated so beautifully and paired so nicely with the matching men’s ties, reception table decor, linens, and even their cake cutting knife! It was so beautiful and came together so nicely.

Bridget and Brian’s wedding day was HOT. It was the hottest May 21 in 11 years and it was nearly a record-breaking day – and there was no doubt that we were all very hot. And yet Bridget and Brian’s awesome wedding party didn’t complain about the heat! Thankfully we found some beautiful shade (and perfect lighting!) at the park, which made a big different in the heat – and that shady spot was the prettiest place for photos!! The light was so gorgeous – and the wedding party was AMAZING! When we work with a big wedding party, we always expect things to take a little longer, but this group was so focused and awesome. The photos are GORGEOUS and it was so much fun being with this sweet group! Bridget and Brian have an incredible group of friends and it is clear that they all care about and support each other so much. And Bridget and Brian both had large families that they are very close with (they are both one of four children!). It was so wonderful to see all of the support and excitement from their wedding party, family, and friends!!

And Bridget and Brian are the life of the party! After we finished portraits, we drove to the Maryland Golf and Country Club, where Bridget and Brian joined the cocktail hour to cheers, hugs, and lots of Bud Light toasts! After the reception began, Bridget switched to a shorter sparkly party dress, and the party kicked off! The band The Morning After played wonderful live music and the dance floor was absolutely packed with guests celebrating Bridget and Brian.

During the speeches, everyone kept noting how happy and kind Bridget and Brian are. And as guests recessed out of the church during the receiving line, I heard people say repeatedly how Bridget and Brian were the happiest couple they had ever seen. It was true; Bridget and Brian’s enthusiastic and excitement was infectious and it is impossible to keep from smiling around them. It is true that they care so much about the people around them and that they absolutely adore each other. Bridget and Brian, we are so, so happy for you!! Your wedding was SO much fun!!
