When I met Cathy and Allen at the Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City, a tornado warning had just been issued for the area and suddenly the skies got dark. It had been a beautiful, sunny day, and of course just before their engagement session, the skies got dark and the wind picked up with intensity. We discussed trying another day, but with their busy schedules, we decided to shoot until the rain drove us out – and it ended up working out PERFECTLY! The rain held off on us for more than an hour and the overcast skies were the perfect soft box for our shoot! And even once it started raining, we just moved under this great archway at the Shrine and kept going. We were so lucky!
Cathy and Allen are getting married this August in Baltimore after many years together (I can definitely relate!). You can tell these two have been together for a long time because they knew each other so well and they have so many jokes together. These two are so affectionate and loving; you can just see how much these two adore each other in their engagement photos! Cathy and Allen met in medical school in Pennsylvania, and they recently relocated to Maryland (yay!). I am so excited for their wedding next month! I can’t wait to see these two on their big day!! Enjoy Cathy and Allen’s beautiful engagement session :)
I LOVE this one of Cathy and Allen!!
Beautiful!!
Cathy, you’re stunning! I couldn’t choose just one portrait of you!
Gorgeous ring!
I love this! Cathy and Allen brought a stethoscope, a lab coat, and a mini replica of the love statue from Love Park in Philadelphia to represent where their relationship began – in medical school in Philly :)
It started raining! But we managed to take a few more portraits by this pretty red barn before it really started to pour!
I love this!!
These two had so many cute ideas! Cathy is from Peru, and Allen is from Maryland (Westminster, as he put it – haha), so they wore jerseys to represent each others’ hometown. So sweet!
This is one of my absolute favorites!!
Congratulations Cathy and Allen!! I can’t wait to see you in just over one month on your wedding day!!
