I am so excited to share Emma and Chris’ beautiful engagement session – and wedding!! Emma and Chris’ session started as an engagement session, and ended with a wedding, and it was AMAZING!
Emma and Chris originally planned to get married on August 20, 2020, but because of everything currently happening, they rescheduled their wedding to next year. We originally had been postponing their engagement session, but when their wedding date changed, Emma asked if we could do their engagement session on their wedding date – and if they could get legally married that day, too!
In DC an individual can self-officiate, so Emma and Chris were able to sign their marriage license and legally marry on their original wedding date: 8-20-2020! And that was pretty awesome because that date was really special to these two. Emma and Chris got engaged on the 19th in 2019, got married on the 20th in 2020, and now after seven years together (another lucky number!), these two are having their wedding celebration on the 21st in 2021!!
I am SO happy that Emma and Chris chose Stone Tower Winery for their beautiful engagement session and wedding. I honestly don’t think that there is a prettier place in the DMV area, and it was an amazing backdrop to their portraits! (I photographed Carli and Matt’s beautiful engagement session here two years ago!). And Emma and Chris were such naturals in front of the camera. Just wait until you see all of their beautiful pictures!!
I had SO many favorites from Emma and Chris’ session; it was hard to narrow them down! So this is just a huge engagement + wedding blog post! Emma and Chris, it was so fun celebrating with you two and such an honor to be there for your marriage!! I can’t wait for the next celebration next year!! Congratulations!!
