Kathy and Jeremiah got married at The Belvedere in Baltimore on Saturday, September 30. Kathy and Jeremiah met on an intramural bocce ball team and fell in love soon after. These two recently bought a new home together, went on a few incredible trips, and got engaged – all in 2017! Jeremiah proposed to Kathy one evening after he picked her up from her sewing class (with a STUNNING rose gold and diamond engagement ring), and then these two began planning their wedding!
I feel so fortunate to have met these two. The very first time Kathy and I spoke on the phone, I felt like I was talking to a longtime friend. It was so fun getting to know Kathy and Jeremiah more during their gorgeous engagement session (you can see more from that here!), and Justin and I loved being part of their beautiful wedding. Kathy and Jeremiah are such kind, caring, and gracious people, and it is clear that they are very well loved by so many people. Everyone was so excited to celebrate with these two (and their family and friends were so, so nice!). Kathy and Jeremiah are also so thoughtful; these two even sent Justin and I an incredibly thoughtful housewarming gift (the cutest kitchen set from Anthropologie! It was such a sweet surprise!). I feel so fortunate to have met these two; the friendships I make with my wedding couples are so, so special to me, and I feel so thankful to have Kathy and Jeremiah as friends now.
Not only are they kind, but a defining characteristic of Kathy and Jeremiah is their creativity. The Belvedere in Baltimore was such a perfect venue for these two to celebrate their marriage because it is such a unique and beautiful space. Kathy researched a number of venues, and although these two live in Virginia, the Belvedere was the venue that stood out – and it is clear why! The interior of the Belvedere is unique, beautiful, and timeless, and it was such a beautiful backdrop to their fun wedding day. (Just wait until you see the INCREDIBLE night portraits of these two – and they didn’t even need to step outside to get them! So cool!).
Kathy and Jeremiah chose to begin their day at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in downtown Baltimore. The Kimpton has a spectacular pair of historic marble staircases that were an incredible backdrop for Kathy and Jeremiah’s first look and portraits as a couple. Although it was early fall, Kathy and Jeremiah’s wedding day was a bit chilly – and very windy – so we were so lucky to have such a beautiful indoor space for portraits. Everyone headed to the Belvedere, where after family portraits, Kathy and Jeremiah had their wedding ceremony – complete with song lyrics in their wedding vows! They followed their ceremony with a tea ceremony, and then after some quick outdoor portraits, it was time for the reception. Just wait until you see their gorgeous reception decor! Kathy and Jeremiah handmade tons of beautiful yarn flowers for the reception tables, and Pixelated Photo Booth provided hours of entertainment (literally!) throughout the evening (guests had so much fun at the photo booth!). During the reception, Kathy and Jeremiah took a few minutes to get some gorgeous night portraits, and then Kathy switched into a red lace gown for the rest of the fun reception.
Kathy and Jeremiah, it has been so wonderful getting to know you two, and I feel so fortunate that Justin and I could be part of your beautiful wedding day! Congratulations, Kathy and Jeremiah!! Enjoy some favorites from your beautiful wedding day!
Just beautiful! I love how the styling paper Kathy brought matched her invitations so perfectly!
These two have such good taste; their rings are stunning!
Have you ever seen a prettier first look? WOW!
You two!! I love the way they smile at each other!
These stairs at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Baltimore made for such a gorgeous and unique backdrop.
Kathy, your bouquet is amazing!
Kathy, you are such a gorgeous bride!
WOW!
I love this angle Justin captured of these two :)
The photo on the right is one of my all-time favorites!! These two are so creative – this photo is so perfectly them! (Also, how spectacular is Kathy’s sequin champagne gown?)
And then we all headed over to The Belvedere for Kathy and Jeremiah’s wedding ceremony. Kathy and Jeremiah’s friend, Danny, officiated the ceremony and Jeremiah’s niece gave two readings. Their wedding vows incorporated the lyrics to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up,” and it was about the second verse when everyone caught on (to lots of laugher) :)
Yay! Married! After their wedding ceremony, Kathy and Jeremiah shared a tea ceremony with family.
Their joy is contagious!Another favorite! They are such a beautiful couple!
Reception time! And look at Kathy and Jeremiah’s FANTASTIC Art Deco wedding cake!! I couldn’t get enough of this cake; it is so, so cool, and it echoes the styling of the Belvedere so beautifully.
Such a beautiful wedding! Kathy and Jeremiah handmade the adorable yarn flowers for every table; they were so chic (and guests had so much fun with them!).
Party time!!
Congratulations, Kathy and Jeremiah! We are so happy for you two!!
