On Monday I photographed beautiful high school senior Lia! Lia is a senior at River Hill High School and she is literally days away from graduating! Class of 2013!! Lia plays lacrosse for River Hill and she will continue to play at college (she plans to try out for field hockey too!).
I have known Lia for years; in fact, my father built her home! In addition to that, Lia’s mother is an English teacher (like me!), and since she teaches high school and I teach college, I often have her former students as my own students. It is a small world!
It was so much fun to see Lia. Even though we live near each other, I rarely see her with how busy we all are, and now that she is getting ready to leave for college, I know I will see her even less frequently.
The first few shots Lia and I took were with this bubble machine I just bought. It is actually a bubble machine for dogs (did you know that exists? I didn’t until recently!) but it had good reviews on Amazon (ps: my dogs are TERRIFIED of it). As soon as I started shooting, I realized what a natural Lia is. She switched poses every few shots like a pro! Seriously, I feel like I’ve had a ton of high school models on my blog this past month with Rachel, Zoe, Kylie, and now Lia!!
