Lukasz and Kimberly are the kind of couple I think we all want to be. They are both just so cool, down to earth, and very laid back – plus they have a BEAUTIFUL baby girl named Aniela!! Lukasz is a photographer himself, so I was super honored when he asked me to photograph his wedding!
Lukasz and Kimberly were married at Rocklands Farm, which is a stunning wedding venue (and working farm) in Poolesville, MD in Montgomery County. It was a rainy, dreary day, and I was a little nervous for the bride and groom, but when I got to Rocklands Farm, Kimberly was totally calm and relaxed. It kept raining off and on outside, and Kimberly finally had to make the call if she wanted her wedding inside the barn or outside on the lawn as planned. She decided to risk it and do the ceremony outside – and within minutes the skies started to clear up! During the ceremony, the sun slowy came out, and when the two were pronounced husband and wife, the sun came out of the clouds. It was incredible!
After the ceremony, the party really got started: there was tons of craft beer, lots of vodka, platter after platter of delicious Polish food, cake and cheesecake, and awesome music late into the night. Rachel of Sweet July Photography worked alongside me throughout the evening, and at the end of the night we both agreed it was one of the most fun evenings ever. Lukasz, Kimberly, and all of their guests really know how to celebrate!!
Congratulations, Lukasz and Kimberly!! It was such a joy sharing your beautiful and fun wedding day with you, and I loved getting to know your family and friends!!
Kimberly’s bridesmaids created a beautiful scrapbook for her as a surprise – it was SO sweet!
The groomsmen loaded TONS of craft beer (and lots of ice too – thanks to the dads!) into this cute vintage tub. Lukasz even made a sign listing the types of beers and (most importantly) the percentage of alcohol.
Lukasz and Kimberly’s little girl is the cutest!!!
There were a lot of ADORABLE children at this wedding!!
Lukasz’s shoes!!! Aren’t they spectacular?
I love his smile when he first saw Kimberly walking down the aisle :)
And the sun came out!
Such happy families!!
Beautiful bridesmaids!!
The flowers were amazing!! Kimberly and Lukasz’s friend, Anna Glenn, did all of the flowers. She is so talented!
Oh these men! They were a lot of fun to photograph!
Absolutely love this!!
They love jumping pictures – and I am pretty impressed with their jumping skills!!
Aren’t they stunning?? And they are just so in love!
You two are too cute!!
On our way back to the reception, the brothers discovered a few yard tools. Haha!
Beautiful!!
We found a toad!!
The food was INCREDIBLE! I had never had a pierogi before, but WOW, they are good!! Everything Creative European Cooking made was so delicious, and it was all traditional Polish food. YUM!!
And the band! Wow!! White Loafer was outstanding and SO much fun. Mark Stevens is a friend of the couple, and he and his band put on an incredible and fun show. It was a blast!
Each table had their own bottle of vodka, and the couple had a prize for the table that finished their bottle first! One table finished their bottle during the speeches! (And of course they received a second bottle as well!).
Rocklands Farm is lovely night or day.
And then the groom and his groomsmen jumped up and started playing as a surprise to the bride! It was awesome!! At that same time, it started absolutely pouring outside. Everyone was dancing and just having a great time.
Congratulations to this beautiful family!! You three are so wonderful!! I can’t wait to hear about the exciting adventures ahead of you :)
