I still can’t believe our wedding was ONE year ago today!! It feels like it was just yesterday! Today we are celebrating our one year anniversary, so I wanted to share some of our favorite pictures of our summer garden wedding at Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland.
I am still so proud of the maps I drew for the invitations!
My mom’s cat, Poppy! She was only 8 months old then!
My beautiful bridesmaids :)
Gorgeous bouquets!
So thankful to have wedding day pictures with our dogs :) It meant the world to be to have them there, and I was SO lucky to have two of the sweetest people – Tracy and Jess – taking care of them during the day!
My dad made this chalkboard and I decorated it!
We ordered hydrangeas online to decorate the bike with :)
My dad painted this old ladder I picked up at a yard sale, and my mom and I made the glittery LOVE letters with paint, spray adhesive, and lots of pink glitter!
Ceremony time! Look at those beautiful pups! During the rehearsal, Emily slipped out of her harness and ran back to me, so I was so worried she would do that during the ceremony, but all three dogs walked down the aisle like pros! Kelsey walked Cara, Meredith walked Emily, and Justin walked our little ring bearer down the aisle (my mom sewed his tiny tuxedo! It even has a pink polka dot bow tie and his ring bearer pillow on his back!).
Our family!
My favorite :)
Siblings!!
My dad made our signs and Kelsey did all the painting! I love it :)
My pride and joy – my drink bar chalkboard!! I spent way too much time making this – but I love how it turned out!
Kelsey and I made the lace and burlap runners, and Justin’s dad cut 38 pieces of chiffon to go around the poles of the tent! Justin and I bought all the glassware for the wedding – as well as the Fiesta dishes! (Read more about our Fiesta experience here). My mom and I picked up all the vintage mismatched bread plates and we also got over 100 teacups over a seven year period at various yard sales, thrift stores, and antique shops to use for the plants that were favors!
My sister’s friend, Ian, designed all of our table numbers, and my mom and I collected the mason jars and milk bottles that we used on the tables at antique stores the two years before the wedding.
Our candy bar!! Justin’s mom made this totally come together; I LOVE seeing this table full of pink!
My mom and sister painted my grandmother’s old chair pink and cream – and it turned out SO beautifully! My sister also sewed all of the pillows for the chairs and couch at our vintage lounge.
Jo Shepherd drew portraits of our pets that had passed away over the last year so we could honor them at our wedding; I made gifts for guests to take home to share with their pets.
My sister wrote a surprise rap as her maid of honor speech!! You can listen to it, filmed by Eric Stishan, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8m1msSSLKU
I made a ton of games for our guests to enjoy
Justin’s mom created two groom’s cakes for us and drove them all the way down from PA!
I loved our s’mores bar! It was fun seeing people roasting marshmallows later in the evening.
Our wedding cake by Charm City Cakes with the best topper: our puppies!!
Sparkler goodbye! :)
It was such a fun, beautiful day and we loved every second of it – and we have enjoyed every day of the last year as husband and wife. Thank you to all of our friends and family for celebrating with us and making our day so special, and thank you to our incredible vendors for making it all come together so beautifully!
