Erica and Seth met in the most perfect way – these two met almost exactly four years ago at a wedding! They hit it off almost right away and have been together ever since. And now, these two are husband and wife! I met Erica and Seth through Erica’s sister-in-law, Lauren. Lauren is also a photographer and not only is she incredibly talented, but she is so incredibly sweet! Lauren is getting married this fall, so this is a big year for everyone!
It has been so wonderful getting to know Erica and Seth this past year. They are such kind, happy people. I also LOVED the incredible connection we had with West Virginia. Seth is from Keyser, West Virginia, which is my mother’s hometown! My mom grew up in Keyser, and my grandparents lived on Main Street most of their lives and my great aunt lived right up the road. Keyser is such a wonderful town, and although we no longer have family there, we still go back to visit to see my mom’s friends and to spend time here. Erica lives in Westminster, where she grew up, but Erica and Seth recently bought their first home in Keyser and they have been renovating it on the weekends while counting down the days until they can move in together!
Kelsey and I also loved getting to know Erica and Seth’s family and friends. The entire wedding party was such an incredibly nice group, and they were so fun to work with. Erica had told me that most of the wedding party was teachers, so they would follow directions well! :) When Kelsey and I were driving home, we kept talking about just how nice everyone was.
Erica and Seth’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful. Erica and her bridal party got ready at the beautiful Elmwood Farm Bed and Breakfast in Williamsport, and then after some portraits with her bridesmaids, Erica had her first look with her dad. This was so important to Erica, and it was such a special moment! Afterward, we headed to the Barn at Springfield Farm just down the road for Erica and Seth’s ceremony. This day was just filled with such personal moments, and the ceremony had so many special touches. Erica’s mother sang while Erica and her father walked down the aisle; the ceremony was officiated by Seth’s family pastor; the officiant read from Seth’s grandfather’s bible; Erica’s cousin, Brooke, sang during the ceremony; and while these two tied the knot they literally tied a knot signifying their union, and invited their guests to do the same. There were so many special moments during their ceremony, and these two were so excited to be married! Those unique touches continued during the reception; Erica surprised her mother with a mother-daughter first dance while her cousin, Brooke, sang; Seth and three of his groomsmen performed a surprise choreographed dance to Wannabe by the Spice Girls (and it was incredible!); and these two ended their night with a beautiful sparkler exit. It was such a beautiful, memorable day, and we loved being part of it!
